Escort, founded by Eugene Cho and Dan Balis and fronted by the enormous vocals of lead singer Adeline Michèle, the 17-piece ensemble turned heads with the release of their self-titled debut LP. On the heels of its success, Escort is now offering a compilation of remixes and reinterpretations. RAC takes on the band’s funk and soul-infused track “Starlight,” adding a smooth, seductive touch. Other highlights of the package include band member JKriv’s club-worthy remix of “Makeover,” complete with bouncing keys and handclaps and Black Russian’s synthy remix of the addictive “Caméleon Chameleon.” Sub Swara reinterprets “All Through The Night,” transforming the song into a spaced-out track full of tribal beats, and Escort crafts their own instrumental mix of “Forever.” With an infectious live show and a debut record that was named one of the “Best Albums of 2012” by both SPIN and Rolling Stone.
