It's About Time is the ninth studio album, written and conducted by Nile Rodgers and his collective Chic. Originally expected to be released on September 7, 2018 through Virgin EMI Records, it was delayed until September 28, 2018. The album's lead single, entitled "Till the World Falls", featuring Mura Masa, Cosha and Vic Mensa, was released on June 22, 2018. Nile Rodgers has stated that the album is the first of two parts that make up the "new Chic experience". The second album was revealed to be released in February 2019 and will "bring to a close the journey of Chic" as it will be the project's landmark overall tenth studio album.
